Hello Lovely readers,

I am going to take a guess and say that most of you have probably had a better week than I have had. I ended up getting sick this past weekend with a bad stomach bug. I was not doing well at all I couldn't even get out of bed. My wonderful husband did a fantastic job taking care of the kids and keeping up with the household chores. I am so happy I have him to lean on.

So far half of our vacation group has come home and gotten sick. The last time we went to Alabama for a family vacation half of the group came home with covid, so I think we wont be going back to Alabama anytime soon.

This year alone I have been sick 5 times. I haven't been sick this many times in one year ever. I swear if the kids come down with a runny nose I am going to come down with the plague, however, if they have a fever I seem to be fine. I don't know what the science behind that is but I find it a little crazy. 2023 has not been great not only for me but my entire family. I believe that every month this year someone has been sick. We have been to the pediatricians office more times than I can count. It also seems like anytime we go on a trip somewhere someone falls ill. I use to think I was a relatively healthy individual but it turns out I am not and I hope that we can all stay healthy for the rest of the year. I honestly do not know what I will do if I get sick one more time. I may need to be committed to the looney bin because I can't stand being sick.

Now that I am feeling better I am back in action. I sanitized our house and deep cleaned our bedroom in hopes that no one else will get sick. Then today I had to take Wilburt back to the vet because his lipoma has gotten much bigger in the past three weeks and we wanted to get it removed before it caused any problems. We got unfortunate news however and now he has to go to OSU surgery vet. It turns out his lipoma could potentially be cancerous so he will need another biopsy. If it is benign then it's probably a infiltrated lipoma so it's growing in the muscle and it will be difficult to remove, so much so that even after it's removed it could grow back if even a small amount was left. We aren't sure what we will end up doing because we don't want to hinder his quality of life by having him undergo a surgery that is unnecessary. I'll keep you updated on our turd bird and let you know.

Amidst all the chaos this week has brought I have been trying to get the house organized so we are prepared for Myla starting preschool next week. I have sorted through her clothes and hung up her clothes weekly organizer so she knows what to wear for preschool each week. It's all so bittersweet watching her grow up. I love seeing her big personality bloom each day and I am always amazed by how smart she I, but it's all passing by too quickly and I want her to stay little forever.

I don't have too many plans to get things organized for the rest of the week since it is a holiday weekend so we will be having a small cookout and we have a birthday party to go to. Next week though I will be back to the grind and I plan on getting the play room organized. I plan on packing up toys and starting a toy rotation every few weeks to keep the kids interested in their toys and to help with the clean up each evening. Next week I'll let you know how it all goes and I'll share a few tips and tricks on how I try to keep the playroom tidy!

I hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!!

Alex
