A free week off school!!!!

This week has been a lot of fun. Myla ended up not having school all week due to MLK day, a cold day, and a snow day. We stayed in a good bit doing some homeschooling. We did multiple science experiments and we have been doing a lot with ABC mouse on her tablet. She is really doing well with her letters and numbers. We did 3 science experiments this week and I think making boba slime was their favorite.

Last weekend we went to two birthday parties. Friday night we went to Mylas friend Ian's pool party at the Dublin rec center then we headed to Dayton for a sleep over so we could celebrate Arias birthday on Saturday. Then Sunday we made my dad a birthday dinner of smoked ribs. Unfortunately my dad woke up sick so we just took dinner to him to so he could eat it when he was better.

Then Monday we had the day off for MLK day. We went to the Columbus Blue Jackets game to celebrate their Aunt Kristy's birthday. Myla loves blue Jackets games so she was really excited, Max however was not a huge fan of the game. From the start of the game Max did not want to watch so I walked the hallway with him and we ran into stinger! They also had free balloon animals and face painting, Myla and Max were happy about that.

We did a lot of home schooling this week since Myla didn't have school. Myla received a boba slime kit for her birthday and it was a lot of fun. The kit provides slime powder, and little decorative pieces to make the slime fun to play with. The kit wasn't hard to put together and the kids enjoyed it. They played with the slime for about a half hour which gave me time to get their lunch ready.

We also did an experiment called do water molecules move. We put water in our 2 liter and added 10 drops of blue food coloring to it. The food drops swirl around and fall to the bottom. We let the water sit on the counter over night and checked out the container in the morning. The water had turned completely blue because water molecules do constantly move.

Yesterday the kids got to spend some Christmas money. Max got a Woody and buzz action figure. He has recently began watching toy story a lot and when he saw them at the store he had to have both. I said "let's get one, which one do you want?" he would pick one, I would place the other one on the shelf and he would take it back off. So he got both, he was pretty happy. Myla got a new American girl doll, a boy and she named him Beckett.
