Beautiful trees and family time

Hello lovely readers,
I hope you have had the best week, we sure did. We went on Myla's class field trip to the zoo on Thursday. We go to the zoo a lot since we have a membership so Myla was really excited to go with her classmates this time. It was so much fun to see them all run around together and just interact. I think we spent more time watching them play rather than seeing animals but that's fine because they had so much fun. Our Mawmaw went with us too so Max got to spend a lot of nice quality time with her. It was a win for everyone and honestly you could have asked for better weather.
Then over there weekend we went to Amish country with Justin's mom's family. It was so beautiful, the trees had all changed colored and the scenery was picture like. It almost didn't seem real. Nature can be absolutely breathtaking and it just does it on it's own. It's totally mind-blowing to me, we have our own masterpiece to take in all around us. I was really happy we were able to get away and really take it in.
We stayed at a nice resort in Berlin Ohio called Berlin resort. It was really fun, it had a mini theater, children's outdoor village, and swimming pool. Honestly the kids could have spent the entire time there and had a blast. We did however spend a lot of time out and about really taking in all that the city of Berlin had to offer. There are so many shops there that had hand made items and they had several quilt shops. I actually went to one quilt shop and looked around. It's amazing what people can creat with fabric, they are really talented. The quilts in the shop I went to were priced at 1,200 because they were hand made and giant. It probably took them about a year to make.

Everyone in our group went to Hershberger farm and fed the animals in the petting zoo. We saw a horse that weighted 3,000 pounds. He was almost too tall for the barn and when he wanted you to feed him he would kick tap the stall with his hoof and it really startled me.
Max loved feeding the goats and the donkies he smiled the whole time we were there. Myla loved the animals but she was afraid to feed them so she would just drop the carrots for them to pick up. The kids also did the pony ride. Myla said she is now a pro at ridding ponies so she is ready to ride with her Aunt Mary.
Myla loved being with her cousins all weekend. My favorite part of the trip was having all the kids together even though Myla drove me crazy asking where her cousin Ellie was all weekend. We couldn't go anywhere without her asking several times when Ellie would be there. They were adorable together though. I am very happy we made all these memories together. I hope that in the future they are close knit cousins who really know one another and enjoy being around each other. Big family trips can be overwhelming but the lasting memories that are made are totally worth it and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I have an eventful week ahead of me that I' ll let you all know about it next week. I hope you all have a great week, talk to you soon!!!
Xoxo,
Alex
