Hello Lovely Reader,
This past week has been busy. Friday turned out to be a great family day, Justin ended up having the day off so took advantage of it. We went to breakfast and took Myla to get her halloween costume, she was so excited and very indecisive. She finally decided on being Min from one of her favorite shows dino ranch and Max will be a dinosaur. We will have some cute pictures for you when we have our party next month. Myla was so excited for her costume that she wore it all day and go plenty of stains on it.
After all that fun we went to stay at our friends house and we celebrated their sweet little Boy Corbin Rays first birthday! They had his party on Saturday and it was so cute, pineapple themed. The food was great, the company was even better, and we all had such a fun time. It's crazy how fast a year can go by and it has been so nice to be able to watch Corbin grow up now that they live in Ohio.
On Sunday we unexpectedly started to declutter and organize the basement. When my husband woke up that day I asked him what he wanted to get done for the day and he offered to build a shelf in the basement that fit the totes we have better. While he build the shelf I organized the office/craft room so I could start making labels for the totes. Once the room was cleaned I started organizing the workshop where the shelf was being built.
Max didn't get up until 11:30, he was tired from partying so hard the day before I guess. Since he slept so late I was able to get a lot done before he woke up. Myla really enjoyed helping me organize because she was able to get into everything and mess it up lol. We spent the whole day working on the basement and some of the shelf still needs to be finished but overall I am very happy with how it all turned out. I now have the old shelf occupied with empty totes so that I can put toy in them to start our toy rotation and get the playroom organized.

Since labor day was on Monday we had a small cookout. We had wonderful food that we have been able to eat all week as leftover and that has made the week run smoothly. The kids had a great time at the cookout, they swam for about three hours straight. It was so nice to see them all have fun together and hear their laughter. The kids make all of the holiday celebrations fun. Max happened to take a nap through the entire cookout almost. I think he slept the entire time the kids were swimming. When he woke up he was in the best mood, he just ran around the yard with the biggest smile on his face. That evening the kids stayed at Grammy's house. While Myla was exhausted and decided to just veg out Max was fully energized from his long nap and ready to party. He decided he wouldn't go to bed until about 10:30.
Tuesday we just relaxed after work and got things ready for today. It was a big day in the Cruse household, it was Myla's preschool orientation and she finally got to meet all of her classmates. She seemed pretty excited today as we got her ready which was a relief because she has been very nervous any time we have talked about it this summer. Friday will be her first day of going to preschool without one of us there and she will be there from 9-12.

I am very excited for her to make friends and I hope I get to know some of the parents. I want Myla to make a bunch of friends so that we have people to make playdates with next year since I am planning on homeschooling. While I do believe homeschooling will be a great opportunity for our family I am nervous she may not have a lot of friends since the social aspect will be taken out of her school experience. Over the past four years I have been putting her in swim lessons, gymnastics, soccer, and plenty of playdates so that she can be the little socal butterfly she is. I'm really excited to see how much she learns and grows this next year and I really hope she enjoys it.
This next week will be Myla's first full week of preschool so we will be pretty busy working out our new schedule, we also have more birthday party's to go to so I'll let you know how that all goes! I hope you all have a great week and thank you for taking the time to read about mine! Leave a comment letting me know how your week was, I look forwrd to reading about it!
