Hello lovely readers,

Welcome to March!!!!! I'm so glad we have made it through to March in the Cruse house hold. I was sick the whole month of February, Myla was down with strep twice and we all ended up with a cold. This all resulted in a lot of laying around the month of February. As the luck of the Irish rolled in with the month of March so did our Luck because everyone is doing better.

We have a lot going on this month and next month. As the weather is getting nicer we have been learning about different natural disasters and we did an in home volcano. We didn't do a lot of at home learning in February because we were sick but we did a few science experiments and work books. Myla currently has a lot of questions about tornadoes since we had the sirens going off last week. I was also surprised to find out how much she already knew above earthquakes.

I'm excited she has shown such and interest in all the weather and everything because we have so many experiences we can do now. She has even been having her American girls experience natural disasters. She makes them stand in door ways during earth quakes and she has the kids explain what caused these natural disasters.

It has been so much fun playing with the kids and really seeing how much they know. I have noticed Myla is so much more willing to learn things if we are playing while we are learning. When we sit down and do structural learning where she has to pay close attention I can't get her to stay involved. However if we include prend play into our learning she catches on and stays involved for a much longer period of time. So currently we have been playing more and learning more.

Max is turning two next week and we have been planning his Toy Story, Two Infinity and Beyond party! I think he will be really excited. My cousins wife will be making his cake and I think he will be really impressed. We got family pictures with the Easter Bunny today. It was a stressful situation but it was all worth it to see how great the pictures turned out and how excited Max was to see pictures of himself with his buzz light year action figure.

We did find out this week that Myla is going to have to get her tonsils and adnoids out because they are so swollen. I've been pretty nervous since we found out, her surgery will be in April so it's not that far away. We will also attend the homeschool convention and watch the solar eclipse! Slowly but surely our calendar is filling up as the sun comes out to shine more. Well I hope everyone has a great week and I'll blog again soon!
