Strep attack back to back!

Hello Lovely readers,

Sorry I didn't have a post last week. Myla came down with strep throat and I spent last Wednesday night at the Kroger little clinic getting her tested. It was positive before the timer even went off. She was miserable on Wednesday and Thursday and by Friday she was doing better. She was still tired but much more lively by then.

Over the weekend everyone seemed happy and healthy. When we made it to Monday without anyone else falling victim to strep I thought we were in the clear, but I was wrong and unfortunately yesterday (our anniversary) Justin woke up with a sore throat. I figured it was strep and that afternoon he tested positive. He still made our anniversary special by bringing me flowers and a card.

Luckily we celebrated our anniversary on Monday night since the kids stayed at Grammys. Since we started a diet on Monday we decided to take a long walk at Darby Park. It was a great workout and it was so nice to enjoy one another's company. We then had a movie night. It was a great anniversary, and it's hard to believe we have been married for 9 years, time flies by too quickly.

I'm no one else ends up getting strep but we'll have to see, it seems like it is just a drawn out process. I started deep cleaning the house today to get rid of the germs. Let's hope that does the trick to keep everyone healthy.

Overall the past two weeks have been pretty busy with birthday parties and a wedding. Last weekend we celebrated my sisters 17th birthday. I can't believe she is almost an adult. She had an awesome space theme party and Max ate his weight in cake. The icing was blue so he looked like a Smurf and he was pretty proud of it. Look at that handsome boy.

Through all of the crazy birthday parties and events I have been really trying to keep up on the chores so I don't fall behind. There are a few of the things I have been doing nightly before bed and it has helped a lot. I make sure a load of laundry is started, the dish washer is running, and all of the kids toys are put away. Then in the morning I throw the laundry over and put the dishes away before I start the day. It has made a huge difference on our day to day dynamics.

I do need to take a minute to brag about our robo vacuum "clean Elizabeth". It is our shark robo vac that vacuums out whole downstairs every night while we are sleeping. It's so nice that I don't have to vacuum everyday, and I love coming downstairs to see the carpet covered in the vacuum lines. This is our third robo vacuum and I have finally found one that works amazing. This robo vac is self emptying and it also maps out our downstairs so it covers all the floors. Our particular robo vac can mop too. When we want it to mop, we just out the attachment on it and it it takes over mopping for us.

Our robo vac has saved us so much time and has relieved a lot of my stress. It's been the best investment we have made in a long time. This robo vac is a bit expensive but on black Friday they have great deals. I will keep you updated if I see any deals on it and I'll let you know. Leave me a comment and let me know if you have a robo vac you highly recommend!
