Hello lovely readers,

Last weekend was a fun one. Our sweet Maximilian had his second birthday party and last Thursday he officially turned two. Every year we try to make sure we do something fun on their actual birthday and this year for Max's birthday we went to the zoo. It was a lot of fun, this was the first time Max was actually aware of the animals and he was so excited to see them. He waved hello and goodbye to every animal we saw and he ran around like a wild one. It was so fun to see his excitement. We rode the train too and he loved waving to everyone. I have a feeling we will be at the zoo a lot this spring.

He had a bonus surprise on his birthday because we went on our first bike ride of the year. The weather was so nice that we had to take the opportunity to get out. We rode to downtown Grove City, went to the candy shop, and stopped at the new park on our way home. Everyone had an amazing time. It was one of those moments I felt like I could live in forever. It was an unexpected moment that everyone enjoyed so much. Max truly annoyed every moment of it. I would say his birthday was a huge success.

Then last Saturday we had Max's Toy Story themed birthday party. He was thrilled, I have to say he is a big fan of birthday parties. He had so much fun opening his gifts and playing with all of his friends. His party was a dream come true for him. Max was impressed by all of his gifts, even the clothes which we got a lot of so I was pretty happy. He loved when everyone saying happy birthday to him and his cake was pretty awesome. My cousin's wife Brittany made it. It was gluten free, tasted delicious, and looked amazing. She is very talented and I recommend using her for any of your baking needs.

This past week was a pretty slow one for us, which was a nice change because we've been pretty busy lately. Myla had the opportunity to have her daddy come to school with her for a day to see what she learns. She really liked it and hopes that she gets to do it again soon. I explained to her that she probably won't get to do it until next year but it did really make her day.

We've still been working on our homeschooling. Myla is doing a great job with it. This past week we started incorporating our homeschooling lessons while playing with our American girl dolls. She seems very interested in still playing pretend while we are learning and it seems to help a lot. We've done some workbooks and science experiments. The volcano is their favorite, thanks Uncle bubba and Aunt Teresa. We have a lot to work on and learn and we have the homeschool convention coming up so I'm really excited to see where this all goes.

I hope everyone has a fantastic week and I look forward to keeping you updated on how everything's going for us!

I'll leave you with a little funny story from our sweet Myla. She says the funniest things. This morning while I was still laying in bed, she ventured downstairs and was looking for me. At the same time Wilburt was looking for me, Myla walks up to Wilburt and asked him "do you know where mommy is?" . It was really cute and funny. They ended up finding me pretty quick!

Talk to you soon,

Alex
