Hello Lovely readers,
I hope you all had the best holiday season! Ours was filled with love, laughter, family and friends. It all went by way to fast and I miss all the fun already. Now we are just taking some time to adjust back the our regular schedule and relax a little, it's hibernation season!
The past few weeks were pretty hectic. We had all the preparations for the holidays along with planning Myla's fifth birthday party. It was all a lot of work but it was totally worth it. I made her cake, macarons, and monster bars the week of her party so I was pretty busy. Everything turned out pretty nice considering I do not bake all that often and Myla loved her cake.

Myla enjoyed her birthday party so much and she loved having all her friends there to celebrate. Everyone had a great time and the only time things got crazy were when we did the pinata. I turned into a crazy person trying to make sure everyone got a turn. Next time I'll leave the pinata to dad.
Christmas Eve was a blast I always love getting together with family. It's so much fun to watch the kids all running around together. Christmas days was pretty great too the only set back was Myla had a fever so she wasn't in the best spirit. Once her medicine kicked in she was ready to go. The kids were so excited Santa came and I have to say Max was a real big fan of getting gifts. He was one happy guy on Christmas.
Justin and I took time off during the holidays so we were able to visit with our friends in Dayton. I had a New years Eve party with some friends and family while Justin was away for Cornhole. Then to finish off our break we had friends come to town to stay with us for a night and we went to a blue Jackets game. It was so nice to have them in town because we were able to meet their sweet little baby. He was so cute and I really enjoyed all the baby cuddles. Myla loved the baby too, she held him a lot and since they have left she has been pretending to be him.
It was so nice to have a break and enjoy our time with family. I hope your holidays were as much fun as ours. Now that it's all over we are going to start homeschooling little by little and I can't wait to share it all with you. We have a lot of science experiments to do, letters to learn, and crafts to make. I can't wait to post videos of our school adventures and let you know about all our successes and not so successful moments as we take on this new adventure! Wish me luck and I hope you enjoy learning with us in the future!
Talk to you soon,
Alex
